Custom Feature Film for Michelle Choi & Blurry Salsa Man
An emotional wedding shaped by quiet moments, real reactions, and everything that could never be planned.
For Michelle Choi’s wedding, our approach was simple: preserve the day as it truly felt, with gentle direction, an emotional perspective, and a strong respect for privacy.
Because part of the celebration would eventually be shared publicly, we approached every frame intentionally, finding creative ways to tell the story while protecting what was meant to remain private. With a minimal two-person crew, we wanted our presence to feel relaxed and genuine, keeping the imagery as clean and intimate as possible.
What began as the idea of a personal wedding vlog naturally became something more once we saw what had been captured: a custom feature film shaped through storytelling, 16mm analogue film, sound design, and the quieter moments behind the celebration. Alongside it, we created a custom teaser delivered within 48 hours, followed by the full film just over two weeks after the wedding. Throughout the process, we curated the final cut to keep the film intimate, protect what needed to remain private, and blend subtle touches of her vlog style with our own highlight film approach.
If the day had tears, we let the tears stay. If there was laughter, we let it breathe. Some moments needed no words at all, just emotion unfolding naturally.
More than documenting a beautiful day, we wanted to preserve the tension, emotion, imperfections, the kiss that had to happen twice, and everything happening in between. We are incredibly grateful for the trust they placed in us to tell it this way.
Such beautiful souls to work with and get to know.
