For Michelle Choi’s wedding, we took an intimate and intentional approach, preserving the day as it truly felt while respecting the privacy of what was meant to remain personal. With a minimal two person crew, gentle direction, 16mm analogue film, thoughtful sound design, and a blend of her vlog style with our own storytelling, what began as a personal wedding vlog naturally evolved into a custom feature film filled with emotion, imperfections, laughter, tears, and all the beautiful moments in between.
The Vlog/Doc Cut
We approached the Vlog/Doc Cut as a balance between creating something personal and honest, protecting the moments meant to remain private, and blending elements of Michelle’s visual language with our own. As a New York based lifestyle creator known for her intimate approach to documenting everyday life, her perspective naturally became part of the way the film was shaped.
